Born on 1.1.1941.   Did  graduation  from  Gauhati University in 1963.   Passed LL.B.  examination from Delhi University in the year 1965.   Joined  the  profession  in March, 1967  at Gauhati.  Shifted from Gauhati to Nagaland in 1970.  Worked as a Senior Government Advocate  for  the Government  of  Nagaland  for the period between 1975 till 1983.  Had been President of the Nagaland Bar Association. Sworn in as a Judge of the Gauhati High Court on 2.1.1989. Elevated  to  the  office  of   the   Chief   Justice   of Chhattisgarh High Court on 4.12.2000. Transferred as Chief Justice of High Court of Himachal Pradesh on 24.01.2002. Retired on 1.1.2003.
